Quick Answer: Where Does the Patrol Patch Go?
The patrol patch goes on the right sleeve, directly below the U.S. flag. That’s the same spot on every uniform that wears one.

Scouts BSA (Troop) Uniform
From the Scouting America uniform inspection sheet, with a color Beaver patrol patch added so it stands out.
- Where: right sleeve, centered below the U.S. flag.
- National Honor Patrol: if your patrol earns it, the star goes directly beneath the patrol patch.
- Journey to Excellence: your Troop’s unit award goes below that.
- Changing patrols? Swap the patch. Only your current patrol’s patch is worn.

Arrow of Light Scouts
Arrow of Light Scouts get ready for the Troop by working as a patrol. They wear their patrol patch on the right sleeve, below the U.S. flag, in place of the den number.
Webelos Scouts
Webelos Scouts wear the den number below the flag. If the Webelos den has a name, a patrol patch is an optional choice for that spot. Either way, it goes directly below and touching the flag.

- 2″ round
- Tan (khaki) border and background
- Up to 3 thread colors
- No letters or numbers
