Embroidered Neckerchiefs
Embroidery is the traditional look for Troop neckerchiefs, and in our opinion it looks the best. Start with one of our designs or send your unit’s logo. Fully custom artwork is free on orders of 15 or more.
Sizes below refer to the embroidered area: (width + height) ÷ 2. We’ll help you figure out the size, since there are a few exceptions. Setup and standard shipping are free.
Tip: add embroidered neckerchiefs to a larger embroidery order with the same design (polos, hats, hoodies) for a better price break.

Scouting and the Neckerchief
Baden-Powell made the neckerchief part of the very first Scout uniforms. It had a practical job, too: it could be used as a triangular bandage. Scouts called them neckers or scarves, and each Troop had its own color. Baden-Powell reminded Scouts that the honor of the Troop was tied up in its scarf, so they should keep it tidy and clean.
Scouts first tied their neckerchiefs with a knot. Today most wear a slide, also called a woggle.

What’s the minimum order for custom neckerchiefs?
Embroidered neckerchiefs start at 10. Printed neckerchiefs, blank neckerchiefs, and made-to-order colors start at 12. Ready-made designs on the Trading Post can be ordered one at a time.
What size neckerchief do Cub Scouts wear?
Our smaller Pack size is 28″ × 28″ × 37″. The Troop size is 35″ × 35″ × 49″. You can usually mix both sizes in one order.
Can we choose our own neckerchief colors?
Yes. Pick from 39 made-to-order neckerchief and edging colors on orders of 12 or more, at no extra charge. Double and triple edging are available too.
Should we choose embroidered or printed?
Embroidery is the traditional Troop look. Printing is best for detailed, full-color designs, and every color costs the same. Both come in all 39 colors.
Is shipping free?
Yes, standard shipping is free on custom neckerchief orders. Trading Post orders, including in-stock blanks and ready-made designs, ship free over $50.
Can you sew our patches onto neckerchiefs?
