Why a Class B T-Shirt?
The Scouting Activity Uniform
A unit t-shirt is part of the Scouting activity uniform, usually worn with Scout shorts and socks. Scouters call it the “Class B,” and the official uniform shirt the “Class A.” Units wear Class Bs for campouts, service projects, and travel, when the uniform shirt isn’t practical.
A Pack or Troop shirt also gets worn outside of Scouting, to school and around town. People notice what shirts other people wear, so a great unit shirt is a conversation starter and a recruiting tool.
